FAFI SERRATE makeup artist
Fatima "Fafi" Serrate is a makeup artist based in Orlando, Florida. She graduated at the top of her class from the Vocational Academy of Makeup and Prosthetics with a diploma in Modern Effects Artistry in July of 2021.
After growing up in Bolivia and relocating to Texas in 2008, her passion for the creative arts flourished. Through experimenting with hair, makeup, and painting she found her place within the makeup industry and a love for unique character designs.
Fafi loves showcasing her skills at Universal Studios Florida for events like Halloween Horror Nights, Grinchmas, Mardi Gras, and more. Aside from makeup, she also exercises her creativity in canvas painting and miniature building.
You can often find her attending the theatre, going to the movies, and enjoying live shows.

With over 880 clock hours of education under her belt, Fafi is a well-rounded artist. She is capable of creating characters with out of kit techniques using bald caps, hair laying, 3rd Degree silicone, blood, dirt, grime, and so much more. She has experience applying tattoo transfer, foam latex, and encapsulated silicone prosthetics. Not only does she have makeup application experience, she also has lab work knowledge. Fafi can sculpt with many mediums, mold in stone, fiberglass and silicone, and cast various types of prosthetics. She can make custom character dentures, and is confident in her ability to safely life cast.

Nowadays, Fafi spends her time working at the VAMP front office as an administrative assistant. She is also a makeup artist at Universal Studios Florida, where she helps bring characters to life for Halloween Horror Nights, Grinchmas, Mardi Gras, and more. She has previously worked as a Lead Makeup Artist for Blue Whale Studios at Sea World's Howl-O-Scream. In the past, Fafi has also done makeup for Scream n' Stream, a local haunt in Orlando. She is always looking for freelance work, and has a few independent film and production credits under her belt.
